This week’s Friday tune is probably familiar to most as the music that accompanied the final chase scene (for lack of a better term) in “Ferris Bueller’s Days Off”. But back in the day, this was originally a 12” remix of the English Beat song “Rotating Head”, off their most-excellent final album, “Special Beat Service”.
History/trivia lesson aside, it’s the perfect tune to prepare you to leap backyard fences and run through total strangers’ kitchens in order to get your ass home, pour a drink, and start the long weekend. Hell yeah.
